A Boise Building with a Rich History
We are very excited to be located in the historic Sonna Building at the corner of 9th and Main. This building has a rich history. Built in 1888 by Peter Sonna, it was considered to be the finest building in Boise. The first floor was originally Peter Sonna’s Hardware company, and the second floor was the Sonna Opera House, which was the social hub of Boise at the time. Phase 2 and 3 completed in 1895 filled the “Sonna block” all the way to the Idanha Hotel. Peter Sonna, who arrived in Boise in 1863 (the year of Boise’s founding), was known for his generosity and civic mindedness. In 1893 he was elected Mayor of Boise.
Charm and Modern Amenities
One thing that drew us to this building is the building’s historic charm. Most of the offices showcase the original brick walls and are heated by radiators from the underground geothermal system. The entryway is filled with pictures showcasing the building’s unique history. While the Sonna Building maintains its character, it also has all of the modern conveniences necessary to run our business and provide our clients with great service. The conference room is nicely equipped with technology enabling us to provide you, our clients, with top-notch WordPress training.
Convenient Parking Options
When you visit us you have several options for parking all within a block of our office.
Meters: There are meters located directly in front of our building and across the street. Meters offer the first 20 minutes for free. You can pay by coin or credit card. A great new option is a free app called Parkmobile. This app allows you to receive alerts when your parking will expire as well as allowing you to pay for parking on your mobile device.
Parking Garage: The Eastman parking garage is less than a block away at 848 W Main St. You can enter from Main street or Idaho street between 8th and 9th. The first hour is free and additional hours are $2.50.
Surface lot parking: There is a lot between 9th and 10th on Idaho that is right by our building. It is $2 for 0-2 hours and also offers options for longer blocks of time. It does require exact payment in advance and does not give change, however, so plan accordingly if you’re going to use this lot.
